Stormlord Rises

This is my entry for the LMMS Weekend Mini Jam themed "A Storm is Coming"

I went for a viking motif, kinda like a starting screen for a game or even a dramatic Dark Souls boss battle. 

At first I thought I was going to compose in a chiptune style as there are many synth options included in the software but when I found a cool free hurdy gurdy soundfont I just had to use it!

This was my first time even using LMMS and it took some time to get it to click. I tried using as much of the included synths and samples as possible, but I found sample editing very limited in general. I resorted to external softare to design the sounds for my storm sample and for some of the main melody of the song.
